One of the world’s tallest skyscrapers has been announced topped off by a pronged crown of diamond shaped spires.The aim is to make it the world’s tallest residential building but actual details of the height have not yet been revealed.The contoured styling is said to have been inspired by superyachts and fighter jets.The new 100 storey residential construction is to be built in Dubai in the UAE, already known for its giant buildings.Currently, the Central Park Tower in New York is the world’s tallest all-residential structure, at 472.4 metres. It will be constructed by local developer Binghatti in collaboration with US high ends jeweller and watchmaker Jacob & Co which helped with the design.The Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences will comprise two and three-bedroom units along with five penthouses named after the watchmaker’s flagship timepieces. A spokesperson for the development said:” The tower will reflect Jacob & Co.’s rich heritage in more ways than one. “Specifically, the exterior silhouette will draw from the company’s finely cut gems while diamond-shaped spires at the top of the structure mimic an actual crown. “
